About the opportunity

At Mercy Health, you’ll become part of a proud history built on over 100 years of expertise, skill and care. As the Workforce Lead, you will be a critical project role responsible for the end-to-end workforce planning, recruitment and workforce mobilisation for the Werribee Expansion Project. Sitting within the Transformation & Strategy team and reporting to the Program Director, the role provides central coordination and oversight of all workforce-related activities required to safely and successfully operationalise the expanded services.

The role leads and integrates workforce planning, recruitment delivery, onboarding, orientation, rostering coordination and readiness activities, working in close partnership with the Centralised Recruitment Unit (CRU), Medical Workforce Unit (MWU), People & Culture, and operational leaders.


In addition to the Werribee Expansion, the Workforce Lead is designed to be deployable across other major projects, transformation initiatives and workforce-related programs, providing flexible, expert workforce leadership aligned to Mercy Health’s mission and strategic priorities.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

Experience
• Experience in workforce planning, recruitment or workforce mobilisation in a complex organisation (healthcare or large service environments desirable).
• Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating workforce delivery for major projects, expansions or transformations.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and workforce readiness processes.
• Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholders, teams and disciplines.
• Project management, coordination and organisational skills.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to operate with ambiguity and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Demonstrated alignment to Mercy Health values and mission.

Mandatory Organisation Competencies

• Act professionally and in accordance with the Mercy Health Code of Conduct and the Aged Care Code of Conduct
• Participate in annual performance development review (PDR) process
• Must comply with mandatory vaccination and compliance (e.g. NDIS, Police Check) requirements as directed by State and Territory public health orders

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
