About the opportunity

As the Executive Assistant you will provide operational support to our Divisional and Clinical Services Directors. This is a key role assisting them in their day to day operations.

  • Full time permanent position, 80 hours per fortnight with an accrued day off every month.

  • Position based at Mercy Hospital for Women, Heidelberg.

  • Provide high level secretarial and administrative support, diary, email and travel management, drafting and preparation of correspondence, filing, coordination and management of meetings, deadline management, meeting secretariat support and recruitment assistance.

What skills you’ll bring to thrive in this role:

  • Previous EA/PA experience essential.

  • Demonstrated experience working with senior executives and working in a complex. environment involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in the use of the MS Office suite and quick to adapt to new technology.

  • Experience with complex diary management.

  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.

  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and direction.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills on all levels.

  • Experience in a health care setting is desirable.

  • You’re resilient, compassionate and have the ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.

  • Provide a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).

  • Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and with Mercy Health's Policy (includes but is not limited to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination compliance requirement).

Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
