About the opportunity

At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse/RN working in this Funding Coordinator Role, you will be a part of a small and supportive team, ensuring optimisation of funding through collaboration with multiple disciplinary teams and health professionals while seeking opportunities for reappraisals through identification of changes in resident care needs.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or (EN) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Proficiency in using clinical documentation systems and data analysis tools.

  • Extensive experience in residential aged care, including assessments and funding processes.

  • Strong understanding of legislative requirements.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for training and education.

  • Expertise in funding and clinical documentation processes.

  • Ability to design and deliver effective training sessions tailored to staff needs.

  • Strong communication skills for liaising with key stakeholders.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software

  • Effective analytical and decision-making skills to support clinical and operational goals.

  • Skilled in developing and utilizing tools to streamline documentation workflows.

  • Capability to support funding readiness and compliance.

  • Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and their practical application.

  • Knowledge of aged care funding arrangements, fee structures, and regulatory framework.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
