About the opportunity
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Group Organisational Development & Diversity Manager leads the design and delivery of strategies, programs and initiatives that build organisational capability, strengthen performance, and create a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
The role is a member of the People, Learning & Culture (PLC) leadership team and champions cultural transformation, leadership development and employee experience, ensuring alignment to organisational mission, values and strategic goals.
Key responsibilities will include:
Strategy: In partnership with the Chief People Officer and the PLC Leadership team, contribute to the development of Mercy Health’s People Strategy with a focus on Organisational Development and Diversity (OD&D) activities.
Leadership: Lead and develop a high performing, unified OD&D team with the skills, commitment and motivation necessary to achieve the objectives of the People Strategy.
Culture, engagement & wellbeing: Lead organisational-wide cultural change initiatives to bring our aspirational culture to life.
Leadership & manager capability development: Oversee the update and implementation of the Leadership Capability Framework across Mercy Health to support the capability development of current and future leaders.
Performance & workforce capability: Develop and lead programs and initiatives that address identified workforce capability gaps or areas for improvement.
Diversity, inclusion & recognition: Lead Mercy Health’s diversity and inclusion strategy, ensuring alignment with mission, values and legislative obligations.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Significant experience in Human Resources and/or Organisational Development and Diversity initiatives and projects within a complex health setting or aligned sector.
Demonstrated experience leading cultural change and delivering major people projects in a complex, multi-site, values-based organisation.
Proven experience in successfully managing senior level stakeholder relationships.
Proven capability as an exceptional people and team leader.
Knowledge of and willingness to engage with the Catholic Health sector.
A track record as a values-based leader.
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, or a related field.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
