About the opportunity
The Patient Services Department is a dynamic, friendly team of over one hundred staff who provide administrative support to the clinical areas across the hospital. There are often many opportunities to grow and develop your career.
The Administrative Officer plays an integral role in the functioning of MHW through the provision of exceptional customer service and administrative support.
More about the role:
- You will undertake tasks in relation to the Outpatients Referral Management Centre including finalising Mercy Hospital for Women referrals, creating first appointments for Obstetrics, Physicians and Gynaecology patients
- Register new patients in IPM
- Index referrals to appropriate specialty
- Action emails regularly
- Answer phone calls relating to referrals
- Answer phone calls relating to an obstetric or physician appointments
- Enter patients onto the waitlist
- Print and send communication to referrer's
- Other duties within the Patient Services Department as requested by the Patient Services Leadership Team

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
