Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our inventory management system at Monti Inc. This role is critical in ensuring accurate inventory tracking, optimizing storage solutions, and maintaining effective communication with various departments to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all inventory management activities, including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials
- Supervise Receiving and Material Handling teams
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies
- Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and recorded inventory
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to forecast inventory space needs
- Train and mentor inventory staff on best practices and company policies to foster a culture of accountability and excellence
- Utilize inventory management software to monitor stock levels and generate reports for management
- Interview, hire, and train new staff.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management or related field
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Strong analytical skills with experience in inventory software and reporting
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
- Degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced inventory management tools
- Knowledge of industry best practices and compliance regulations
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and reporting software
- Basic understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with diverse teams
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in work
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take initiative
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Forklift certification preferred
