Job Summary:

Monti, Inc., a highly regarded US manufacturer of world-class components for the electrical industry, is seeking a BI Developer at our Cincinnati HQ. Under the supervision of the BI Manager, the BI Developer will collaborate with leaders across the organization to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that drive business performance. The includes creating data models, tools, dashboards, and reports while partnering with key stakeholders to transform data into meaningful insights for decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with data visualization tools, and a deep understanding of database systems and data modeling techniques.

Note: This is not a remote position and will require you to reside in the Cincinnati, Ohio metro area.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Create, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, and simple application development to support business operations.
• Data Analysis: Work with business stakeholders to identify and analyze their data needs and provide insights through detailed reports and presentations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously improve performance of BI tools and reports to ensure
• they meet business requirements efficiently.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all BI processes, solutions, and data models.
• Training & Support: Provide ongoing support and training to end-users, ensuring they understand
• how to use BI tools effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in BI development or a similar role.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts.
• Strong understanding of database management systems.
• Advanced knowledge of data visualization best practices.
• Familiarity and experience with Excel, Access, VBA, Power BI, and SQL
• Ability to work with APIs and integrate data from various sources.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation is a plus
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical terms into business insights.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for data accuracy and clarity.

Physical Requirements:

• Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.
• Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
• Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.
• Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.
• Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual, and audio awareness of surrounding area.
