Job Purpose
The Project Manager is accountable for proactively managing all aspects of RockCast projects and process interface between internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, performance standards in the operations department
- Accurately and promptly manage project data in RockCast ERP systems and maintain thorough tracking systems and accurate project files.
- Primary point of contact for all project related communication needs and documentation. This includes communication with customers, sales staff, engineering, estimating, manufacturing, logistics, and accounting.
- Facilitate and manage drawing requests, RFI’s, and detailed information with Technical Services, and proactively manage the drawing approval process.
- Responsible for entering and reviewing customer orders to ensure accuracy of material, pricing, scope of supply, as well as verification of customer purchase orders and need dates.
- Aggressively identify aging inventory and close the loop on all outstanding orders.
- Utilize opportunities to continuously gain market share for the division through efficient sample processing and customer service excellence
- Manage all relevant internal project documentation including approvals, credits, billing changes, freight bills, etc., according to RockCast procedures; assist with expediting receivables and minimize expense costs associated with collections
Education, Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum 2-year Degree preferred or experience in a related construction type field. I.E. Masonry or lumber.
- Construction, Building or Project Management Preferred; ERP; Understanding of Construction Administration and submittal/approval process.
- Basic ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, using the English language.
- MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project
- Customer service oriented.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None at this time.
Work Environment: Manufacturing and office environment. Exposure to noise, fumes, and dust, while in the manufacturing facility.
Physical Demands: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quite in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible. Works indoors most of the time. Works somewhat close to other people, such as when sharing office space.
