Description

Key accounts rely on Skidmore to manage a significant portion of their raw material supply channel. The Partner Account Sales Coordinator works with the customer, Key Account Manager and Skidmore’s support team to ensure the customer’s raw material supply line keeps their plants running smoothly without excess waste or obsolescence.

Position Details

  • Works directly with external Distribution Manager.
  • Build, retain and expand strong multi-level and cross functional relationships with key decision makers within the customer base including Purchasing, Operations, and Quality, etc.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customers’ business plan and operation.
  • Customer advocate within Skidmore
  • Develop and execute a detailed sales strategy plan, with input from the Key Account Manager to meet divisional financial goals.
  • Uncover customer’s need for offerings Skidmore can provide.
  • Ensure that sales revenues, volume, growth, and contribution margin are achieved or exceeded.
  • Lead and coordinate small customer projects.
  • Translate customer supply and demand needs so Skidmore operations.
  • Monitors customer demand and Skidmore inventory. Answers customers inventory / demand questions and provides inventory reports to customer.
  • Works with Skidmore operations to identify warehouse locations to support customer’s needs.
  • Facilitate and conduct customer meetings, including business reviews.
  • Conduct business reviews with customers.
  • Direct contact with customer on resolving issues.
  • Responsible for coordinating materials for customers by working directly with suppliers and customers.
  • Responds to customer requests for product information, availability, alternate sources, and general product information.
  • Take the lead on resolving supply issues. Find alternatives if available. Coordinate tactical issues with customers to identify and drive solutions.
  • Provide external forecasts to suppliers
  • Manage supplier / customer relationships on an ongoing basis to provide suppliers with demand and forecasts.
  • Coordinate internal key account support team.
  • Facilitates customer, supplier, and internal personnel meetings.
  • Manage internal process flow for new supplier inventory. Notify appropriate personnel when inventory is landed in appropriate locations, plants to be serviced by location, and forecast, after product setup is completed by sales support.
  • Manage internal coordination with buyers on expiring and dead and excess inventory. Highlight items to be taken to the next level and resolve smaller issues directly related to key accounts.
  • Work with buyers to ensure sufficient inventory levels at all warehouses to meet customer demand.
  • Monitor contract compliance.
  • Monitor and maintain Floor Stock Agreements
  • Assists Key Account Manager in the review of Customer activity such as ordering and usage patterns.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years of food ingredient supply chain experience required.
  • Managerial experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Outlook, and Excel. Smartsheet, Power BI, SEI and ERP. Must have high level of Excel skills and able to create spreadsheets, use formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and visual appeal. This includes a high level of mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, vendors, and customers.

Working Conditions

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Work typically performed in an office setting
  • Hybrid-remote work eligible

Travel is required, 1 week of travel per quarter minimum
