Description

The Enterprise Business Systems team is currently looking for an Application Developer who will be responsible for full stack development (75% Backend and 25% Front End) playing a critical role in leading the development, customization and support specifically focused on Sage X3 and Salesforce CRM for our Customers, Suppliers and Employees.

This individual will work closely with business and IT resources to ensure features deployed meet the needs of the business and are of high quality and availability. They are also accountable for day-to-day performance of the development team, operation, architecture, and technical leadership. This candidate will also ensure the team has appropriate & high technical competence through mentorship and technical leadership experience.


Position Details:

ERP:
• Develop, customize, and maintain Sage X3 applications, modules, and reports.
• Collaborate with functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into Sage X3 configurations or custom solutions.
• Design and implement workflows, scripts, and triggers to automate business processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Sage X3, including performance tuning and system errors.
• Develop and maintain integration points between Sage X3 and other business systems, including Salesforce.

CRM:
• Customize and configure Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, flows, and custom components.
• Develop Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning Web Components.
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems, including Sage X3, using APIs, middleware, or third-party tools.
• Assist sales in the implementation of new Salesforce modules and enhancements.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the Salesforce platform.

Technical Leadership:
• Serve as a SME for our scrum teams and key projects relating to ERP and CRM
• Work collaboratively with our IT Team and cross-functions teams (Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Operations etc) and IT Team
• Maintain technical documentation and assist in user training and support
• Stay up to date on platform updates, best practices, and emerging technologies
• Assist in career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members
• Leverage knowledge of internal and industry prior knowledge in design decisions

Qualifications

Shift and Schedule

  • Expectations include a traditional 40+ hour full-time work week, requiring physical office presence. Alignment with standard company business hours (8:30am – 5:30pm).
    • Although infrequent, off-hours support will be required periodically where circumstances dictate outside of normal business hours
  • Hybrid-remote, in office two days each week minimum
  • Not to exceed 15%; Domestic-travel only within the US

Education/Experience

  • BA/BS computer science, engineering or information services and equivalent technical training
  • Possess a strong understanding of domain knowledge in Sales, Logistics, Distribution and/or Operations
  • Experience mentoring/training an engineering community on development best practices.
  • Experience integrating ERP/CRM systems with APIs, web services, or middleware (Boomi)

Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong technical credentials, with at least 7+ years of technical engineering leadership, with 3+ years of hands-on development experience with ERP and 3+ years of CRM development experience
  • Proven experience with the full development life cycle for large-scale software products including extensive experience with service-oriented architecture, design patterns and web services.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, asynchronous architectures, and data lake technologies.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/CRM systems and how they support core business functions
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of agile methodologies as well as change management
  • Tools – Demonstrated proficiency in the below will be highly regarded:
    • API’s, SaaS systems, Cloud Technologies, Data Strategy, EDI/B2B connectivity, DevOps, Security
    • ERP, CRM a must
