As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for assisting our clients in managing their tax obligations and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Your role will involve preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing expert tax advice, and collaborating with our team of financial advisors to develop comprehensive tax strategies for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of tax planning.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, trust, and non-profit tax returns and financial statements.
  • Perform thorough analysis of financial data, documents, and records to identify applicable deductions, credits, and exemptions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns, extensions, and other necessary tax related documents.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather required tax information and resolve any tax-related inquiries or issues.
  • Work closely with our team of financial advisors to develop comprehensive, multi-year tax planning strategies for clients.
  • Provide expert tax advice and guidance to clients on tax-efficient investment strategies.
  • Advise clients on tax implications of significant financial decisions, such as business acquisitions, investments, and divestitures.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification or advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years Tax preparation and review experience.
  • Proficient in using tax preparation software and MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Thomson Reuters software a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
