As the BIM Coordinator with CoorFab Services, you will work with various internal and external stakeholders to generate 3D models and construction drawings that will resolve conflicts (clash detection) among the various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler systems in a given project. Your 3D visualizations will bring together data, drawings, and schedules associated with the design and construction phase of a project and will allow for more accurate and streamlined planning and cost-effective execution.

If you have a background in architecture, construction management, or mechanical engineering and have experience with 3D digital modelling and you have a desire to do more with your career we will train you to become a BIM Coordinator!

To be successful in this role, you must be a strong team player with an exceptional desire to learn and take on new challenges. You will also need to have a strong desire and ability to recognize, investigate and to solve problems.

Other specific requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, construction management, mechanical engineering, or equivalent, preferred
• 2-3 years working as a BIM Coordinator, Project Engineer, Project Designer or in VDC, preferred, but not required
• High degree of general knowledge of how buildings are constructed
• Familiarization with applicable plumbing and mechanical codes and safety laws
• Proficiency in Revit (or other 3D modelling), Navisworks, Bluebeam, preferred
• Proficiency in Fabrication CADmep, preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, HVAC, and plumbing drawings
• Proficiency in MS Office and virtual meeting environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding systems thinking
• Willingness to learn and to take initiatives
