As the Controller for Ray St. Clair Roofing, you will have hands-on oversight of all accounting functions to ensure compliance with accounting principles, practices, and procedures. You will lead the preparation of the company’s financial reporting and forecasts, budget management, and monthly and year-end closing processes. You will prepare financial reports to comply with federal regulatory reporting guidelines.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Develop annual budget. Work with ownership and management to produce a final budget and test for achievability.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Review and ensure accuracy of account balances and monthly reconciliation.
- Perform general ledger operations and prepare journal entries.
- Work with HR Manager to oversee the functioning of the payroll system and staff payroll.
- Review daily cash receipts and maintain a daily cash balance.
- Develop and run reports aimed at analyzing profitability across cost centers, service lines, and provider staff.
- Partner with outside accountants for all local, state, and federal income tax filings.
- Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, foundation executives, auditors, public officials, etc.
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for federal and state governments, foundations, and Board of Directors.
- Supervise the activity of assigned staff; establish priorities, assigns duties, and coordinate projects.
To be successful in the position you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5 years of experience as a senior-level accountant.
- P.A. designation and exposure to construction accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with Job Costing a plus.
- Prior Experience with Service Titan (CRM) a plus.
- Prior Experience with Work Order based CRM, like CORE/ Avid Exchange products.
- Prior Experience and working knowledge of Sage 300 and/or other Sage Products.
