Addiction Counselor Objective The Addiction Counselor will be responsible for providing counseling and support to individuals struggling with addiction. The counselor will work with clients to develop treatment plans, provide individual and group therapy, and monitor progress towards recovery goals. The counselor will also work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care. Essential Functions

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners and photocopiers. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stoop as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Work hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Travel No travel required for this position. Required Education and Experience
Preferred Education and Experience At least one year of Addictions Counseling experience. Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position.
