Summary Description
The Gorilla Glue company is looking to fill an Assistant Brand Manager role that will work on our Gorilla brand. Our company has a strong track record of growth and is growing both domestically and internationally. This role will be based in Cincinnati and will support the brand in the North American region.
The position will lead and assist in several areas of the brand’s plans, innovation, strategy, and execution. Responsibilities include assisting in the management of existing pillars across the retail market (Home Center, Hardware, Mass, Food, Drug, etc.), development and execution of brand growth initiatives, driving awareness and equity through advertising initiatives, oversee the development of new products and creating retail growth stories among other activities.

Primary Duties
Current Business Activities for Defined Pillars
- Understand the category landscape, key competitors, retail trends, and POS/internal analytics
- Contribute to setting strategy for growth and manage day-to-day risks and opportunities
- Identify upside opportunities and recommend plans to activate
- Identify risks or areas of weakness in the business and proactively put in place plans to address
- Collaborate with Sales partners to create retail growth stories and assist with customer line reviews
- Integrate brand NPD (New Product Development) into regional plans to deliver wins for the company, retailers, and consumers
Creative and Commercialization Efforts
- Contribute to developing media objectives and strategies that fit overall brand strategies
- Assist in creative executions from brief to productions for defined pillars
- Recommend and execute support behind brand digital, social, and influencer campaigns
- Collaborate with internal and external agencies/partners to design, develop, and execute commercialization campaigns
Lead Innovation on Defined Pillars
- Create detailed vision and go-to market strategies for defined strategic pillars.
- Recommend short and long-term new product pipeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including; R&D (Research and Development), Packaging Development, Project Management, etc. to develop products that are impactful for our company, customers and consumers.
- Collaborate with Sales & R&D functions to create product sell-in stories for retailers.

- Grows Capability: Can develop marketing mastery in the brand teams – a track record of coaching and training individuals into strong brand marketers.
- Strategic: Can distill brand priorities into simple frameworks that drive behavior for a broad set of brand stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, and R&D.
- Analytical/Integrates Knowledge: Can connect data points from diverse sets of information to form a clear story that drives actionable insights to move the brands forward.
- Uses Judgement: Can use data but also can leverage judgement and intuition based on experience to make timely and informed decisions.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education: BS Required: Major in Business, Marketing Preferred
- 2-4 Years of Marketing Experience
- Self-starter who is capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously in an organized manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working across a broad range of relationships including cross-functional and outside agency partners
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including abilities to envision, enroll, energize, and execute
- Results oriented approach with willingness to bust through barriers and dive in at the detail level as needed
- POS (Nielsen, IRI, etc.) analysis experience is preferred
- Experience with digital media, analytics tools, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc) preferred
- Excellent English writing, speaking and presentation skills required
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Windows OS
- Travel Required: 10-15%
