As an IT Infrastructure Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and securing infrastructure across a hybrid, multi-cloud environment with a global footprint. Reporting to the Infrastructure Leader, you’ll help design, architect and optimize Microsoft-centric solutions while ensuring seamless integration with other platforms. What will your day look like?
Microsoft Infrastructure
- Design, implement, and support secure, scalable Microsoft infrastructure solutions including Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Intune, Defender, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.
Cloud & Hybrid Operations
- Manage hybrid, multi-cloud environments with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Configure monitoring, alerts, and automation to ensure performance and availability.
Security & Compliance Collaboration
- Implement and validate infrastructure security controls.
- Support vulnerability assessments, remediation, and compliance initiatives.
Operational Excellence
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure processes and tools.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with project managers and cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projects on time and within scope.
- Serve as a technical escalation point for the Security and Service Desk teams and mentor junior team members.
Network & Systems Management
- Oversee networking (VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, Azure VNets, ExpressRoute, NSGs, load balancers), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage, and backup systems.
- Support both Windows and Linux server environments.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Contribute to the design, testing, and execution of disaster recovery and continuity plans.
Vendor & Technology Management
- Evaluate and recommend vendors and technologies.
- Manage vendor relationships and support procurement and deployment of infrastructure solutions.
AI & Automation
- Leverage AI tools and automation platforms to enhance monitoring, incident response, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
What you bring to the table:
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud delivery, and architecture.
- 7+ years with server virtualization (VMware ESX/ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V).
- 10+ years with Windows Server OS, including advanced troubleshooting.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft infrastructure (Azure, M365, AD, Intune, Defender, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
- Experience with Linux server administration.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise and cloud networking, with a focus on secure hybrid infrastructure and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Intune, and Copilot; relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
- Familiarity with AI-driven infrastructure tools (e.g., predictive analytics, automated remediation).
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Prefer experience supporting global, distributed environments.
- Strong project management and documentation skills.
- Exposure to ITIL or similar frameworks is preferred.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and use repetitive motions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift and or move up to 20 pounds of hardware equipment, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus.
