Summary Description:

The Manager, Sales and Operations Planning leads the process of aligning demand forecasts, production plans and financial goals to optimize supply chain operations, reduce costs and improve customer service. Key responsibilities include understanding statistical models for forecasting and influencing how they are used within Oracle to drive high levels of forecast accuracy, facilitating cross-functional meetings with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes. Essential skills for this role are strong analytical abilities, cross-functional communication, project management and proficiency with S&OP software and ERP systems, Oracle preferred. The Manager, Sales and Operations Planning will also lead a team of Demand Planners and need to be dedicated to the development of the team.



What will your day look like?

  • Lead the S&OP Process: Oversee the monthly Sales and Operations Planning Cycle, ensuring alignment between demand, supply and financial objectives.

  • Forecast Demand: Develop and manage statistical models for demand forecasting, incorporating insights from sales, marketing and market trends.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations to gather input, resolve conflicts and ensure integrated business plans.

  • Supply Planning & Capacity: Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure supply plans align with demand forecasts and production capacities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify risks and opportunities, analyze current and historical market trends and implement projects to enhance S&OP processes and tools.

  • Leverage Tools: Partner with IT and Data Science teams to identify best practices and continuous improvement in Oracle processes and related system interfaces.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare reports and present findings to senior leadership, leverage dashboards and KPI’s to support strategic decision making.

  • Building the Team: Cultivating team morale, motivation and engagement that allows the team to develop to their full potential, drives accountability and aligns their individual goals and team goals to the Organizational goals.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of S&OP experience or equivalent related experience.
  • Experienced working with ERP system (preferably Oracle)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel User
  • IBF or APICS Certification a plus
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Must work well at the senior and middle management levels of the company.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Understand how to facilitate the gathering of information to support the S&OP process.
  • Ability to work with Excel and other analytical tools including Microsoft PowerBI to collect, validate, and pull strategic information from our data.
  • Demonstrate good judgment.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
