Summary Description
The BOM Engineer is responsible for the accurate creation, structuring, and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and part numbers within the company’s Oracle system. This role partners closely with our packaging engineering teams to support Tier 3 business initiatives and New Product Development. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless transition from product design to production, making a significant impact on our product development process by ensuring product data integrity and alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, R&D and Regulatory functions. This position is critical to ensuring accurate product data, efficient production processes, and successful collaboration across the delivery team. What will your day look like?
- Design and structure BOMs based on engineering drawings and commercial product requests. Prepare for change requests to create and update BOMs
- Create and manage part numbers and BOMs in Oracle ERP for new and existing products.
- Lead BOM setup for New Product Development (NPD) and Tier 3 business initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D and Regulatory to gather and validate BOM inputs.
- Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and update BOMs accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with internal data standards and documentation protocols.
- Approve artwork and ensure alignment with BOM and product specifications.
- Update regulatory items in Oracle and process Regulatory change orders
- Assist with the daily activities of our Co-Op program.
- Assisting with artwork proofing on new designs, collaborating with the Graphic Design and Data Governance teams.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
What you bring to the table:
Education and Experience:
- Associate or Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in BOM coordination or ERP data entry.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to accommodate change to scope, timeline, and still deliver to a deadline.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation and product specifications.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Use logical decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent presentation, written, oral and communication skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PPM360).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP and PLM systems.
- Project management experience
