As a Machinist in Training with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will learn the duties and skills necessary to review drawings and/or written instructions to operate manual or CNC machinery and equipment to produce precision parts under direct supervision.

Additional Duties:

  • Training to work in a work center and performs specific machinist functions.
  • Under direct supervision, verifying conformance of finished work to ensure compliance to tolerance and company specification.
  • Training to identify dull and worn inserts or tools
  • Learning the basic preventive maintenance of machines.
  • Training to perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments.
  • Performs other related duties as directed

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

  • High school graduate; or
  • GED; or
  • BOCES Machine Shop classes; or
  • Skilled trade school graduate

Experience

  • Basic Shop math skills
  • Basic Blue print reading skills
  • Basic mechanical ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Problem solving skills
  • Experience in order of operations
