Job Description

THE ROLE

The position will own the strategy & execution for U.S. Bank’s Enterprise Architecture. We are seeking a senior leader who has broad-based technology skills, strategic vision and innovation mind-set to shape the key areas of the bank (Payments & cards, core-banking, wealth management, corporate functions & open banking).

This leader will influence and support our CIOs and peers who will work alongside this role. A successful executive will envision and drive the target state for key functions of the bank, build roadmaps to get there, and influence peers-partners to execute to those roadmaps by being a coach and a mentor. They will hire and retain high-end talent, own technology strategy decisions, and be an evangelist for new technology capabilities in Enterprise Architecture. This role will report to Madhu Rao, Head of Enterprise and Solutions Architecture and be a key leader in our Platform Engineering and Technology Modernization efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in a technology execution or leadership role
  • Experience with large scale transformations at Fortune-100 FIs
  • Experience running a department (budget, headcount, outcomes)
  • Tangible experience setting up-running an EA practice is desired
  • Tangible experience running/influencing cloud migration is desired
  • Strong understanding of Azure and AWS
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated results in designing, delivering, and sustaining major enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Excellent verbal & writing skills; experience writing and contributing to both product & technical documentation
  • Ability to influence senior level leadership
  • Ability to influence large teams via influence and use it to drive outcomes

LOCATION AND OTHER

  • This role can be based anywhere in the US (preferred Dallas, TX and Minneapolis, MN)
  • Most meetings will be in Central time (8am-5pm)

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $202,470.00 - $238,200.00 - $262,020.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
