U.S. Bank recently announced one of its larger investments in modernizing its technology to migrate its infrastructure and application portfolio to the cloud, partnering with its primary cloud provider, Microsoft Azure. The Sr. Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class security, risk, and operational controls. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles to modernize and automate a currently manual technology and process area.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining cloud application security.

• Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.

• Makes sound design decisions keeping stakeholder experience in the forefront.

• Takes feedback and applies changes to meet standards.

• Accountable for ensuring all aspects of cloud products follow compliance and security best practices.

• Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation.

• Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery.

• Anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

• 7+ years of applicable experience

Required Skills/Experience:

• Knowledgeable on Cloud Infrastructure Security

• Delivery experience with leading security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, Zero Trust, and PCI

• Knowledge of security configuration management, container security, endpoint security and secrets management as they are applied to cloud applications

• Domain expertise, including hands-on experience, with the full range of cloud services from one or more public cloud providers (Azure preferred)

• Considerable knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies in the financial services industry

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
