Job Description

As a member of the Financial Strategy team, you will have the opportunity to influence the trajectory of USBCDC’s growth and guide finance transformation projects. Additionally, you will drive improvements and efficiencies to long-range financial planning and strategic processes including annual plan, stress and scenario analysis. The candidate will work closely with the business lines, USBCDC Senior Leadership, and finance and accounting teams and help drive strategic decisions. Experience in corporate strategy, finance, and financial modeling required.

  • Develop the annual plan with input from business lines on market trends and accounting & finance teams on current monthly performance.
  • Continually update long term financial outlook based on current and projected market trends and present how the results align with the organization’s goals and needs.
  • Enhance and maintain a tool that allows for a dynamic process in providing long-term scenario results and analysis.
  • Analyze and effectively present results of long-term scenarios that support management in making strategic financial decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the annual plan, CCAR exercise, and long-term financial strategy processes.
  • Other ad hoc tasks and/or analysis as needed.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Six or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis concepts and methodologies
  • Considerable knowledge of accounting theory practice
  • Demonstrated experience and collaboration in leading processes (particularly CCAR and Annual Plan)
  • Help develop assumptions
  • Review and analyze the outputs
  • Provide reporting on results
  • Ability to be flexible in ambiguous situations and align the interests of multiple stakeholders while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated track record of accurate, detail oriented business support.
  • Able to see the big picture
  • Strong and effective verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to explain difficult concepts to stakeholders with varying knowledge bases
  • Poise and presence to work with senior leadership
  • Experience in tax credit accounting is helpful
  • Self-driven to learn and stay informed on current business trends
  • Create reporting and analyses to track and communicate business activity

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $108,375.00 - $127,500.00 - $140,250.00Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
