Job Description

Reporting to the Head of National Diverse Markets & Affordable Lending, this leader will manage a team of dedicated Mortgage Business Development Managers across the bank’s national footprint while also helping to lead the development and execution of business line growth strategies in alignment and in partnership with local mortgage sales leaders, internal teams, and community partners.

Primary responsibilities

  • Oversees and is ultimately responsible for a team of Business Development Managers that are tasked with the training, support, and ongoing engagement of mortgage sales teams to advance homeownership opportunities within all markets including diverse and affordable markets.
  • Provides coaching and development to direct & indirect teams that grows capacity in diverse markets and affordable lending knowledge base and applied business development practices
  • Build pipeline of opportunities that enable further business line growth
  • Manage key relationships with internal and external partners to drive new opportunities
  • Engage with partners, sales executives, and mortgage loan officers as necessary to review performance and drive strategic objectives
  • Build and support reporting requirements to ensure business development efforts are delivering as needed.
  • Analyze and share data to drive strategy enhancements and inform management decisions
  • Manage performance to ensure pipeline impact for mortgage sales teams

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree, or equivalent work experience - 10 or more years of experience in project management activities - Two or more years of managerial experience

SKILLS and Preferred qualifications

  • 5+ years of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) mortgage lending experience
  • HMDA risk knowledge preferred

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
