Job Description

The Fund Administration practice of U.S. Bank Global Fund Services (USBGFS) provides value-added services to a robust and rapidly growing client base, which includes mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, offshore funds and other investment companies.

The Alternative Investment Tax Supervisor works as part of a diverse team focused on tax compliance for alternative investment funds. Our team members collaborate with other internal teams, investment advisors and their accounting firms. Through our in-house training and mentorship programs you will have opportunities to develop and progress throughout your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detailed review of taxable income calculations, including the analyses for identifying book-to-tax differences, the allocation of taxable income and tax provisions.

  • Detailed review of various Federal and State tax compliance filings and forms including: Forms 1099, 1120, 1065 and Schedule K-1, 1042, 8804 and 8805, 8865 and 5471s, etc. Coordinate the tax compliance process with clients and their tax advisors.

  • Assist with research of tax and financial reporting technical topics and guidance for proper reporting.

  • Manage multiple tax engagements throughout the year by working closely with internal teams, clients and their tax advisors while ensuring timelines for deliverables are adhered to.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience

  • Eight or more years of related work experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Master’s degree in accounting or tax a plus

  • Certified Public Accountant a plus

  • 3-5+ years of professional tax experience in public accounting or industry

  • Demonstrate ethics and integrity, while adhering to USBGFS’ core values and hold others accountable for upholding ethics and values

  • A team-oriented professional who is able to work collaboratively with other members of the Alternative Investment Tax Team, other internal teams, clients and their tax advisors

  • Shows initiative, including eagerness to work on projects, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels

  • Demonstrates effective work habits and strong organizational skills by prioritizing and planning, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing client priorities and regulatory requirements

  • Shows a commitment to learning through professional development and growth, continually expanding their knowledge base and expertise in their practice area

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $83,810.00 - $98,600.00 - $108,460.00
