Job Description

The Collateral Management Analyst role supports the implementation of a new collateralization optimization framework with the organization. The employee will work with various stakeholders to implement collateral optimization strategies. Work with manager to develop internal policies, procedures and processes. Analyze various data sets. Work daily with the Collateral Operations Group regarding collateral positioning and movements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with the investment Portfolio Managers, Funding Desk, Liquidity Management and Operations to design and implement necessary systems and process to enhance the Company’s available collateral.
  • Track collateral positioning and liquidity value
  • Work with a variety of team members, across business lines, to expand the existing loan collateral program
  • Partner with manager to develop and implement Collateral Management Policy
  • Work with Collateral Operations Team regarding collateral movements
  • Work with Funding Team regarding collateral positioning and regular monetization testing
  • Build, enhance, and maintain reporting analysis tools utilizing Power BI, Excel, Access, VBA, SQL and Python
  • Support monitoring and ad-hoc reporting requests by internal risk partners (Audit, Compliance, Asset Liability Management)
  • Work with Collateral Operations Manager to optimize collateral at industry utilities and intermediaries (central clearing houses)
  • Determine eligible securities for collateral demands
  • Respond to ad hoc inquiries and requests
  • Leverage quantitative and analytical skills and partner with Operations to identify control improvement and process flow

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Three to five years of related experience in banking and/or financial services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with fixed income securities, middle office environments, funding and liquidity
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access skills
  • Python, VBA, SQL and other programming skills & experience is a plus
  • Experience designing dashboards and their related data models in Power BI
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • MBA preferred

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 to 4 days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00 - $120,120.00
