Job Description

The Business Risk Professional will partner with their assigned Line of Business, other Business Risk Professionals, and Business Risk Managers to, depending on their function, create, implement, maintain, review or oversee an effective risk management framework.

May participate in projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

May identify gaps and inform solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors.

May actively identify, respond and/or escalate risks as appropriate.

May inform policies and procedures in an effort to maximize profit potential and minimize regulatory exposure.

May serve as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense. Specifically, this role supports the general oversight of vendors and third party relationships within USBank Operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing day to day onboarding and entitlement requests, forecasting, headcount reporting and analysis.
  • Must be proficient with excel and able to create dashboards and reporting.
  • Supporting multiple operational business lines and relationship managers with ongoing vendor support tasks as assigned.
  • Assists in the implementation of an effective risk management framework.
  • Monitors systems, databases, information, processes or procedures.
  • Identifies and escalates matters requiring attention to the appropriate area.
  • Performs work on projects and initiatives and assists in the assessment and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Coordinates the collection and/or compilation of data and compiles and provides reports.
  • May assist in report development and analyzing data.
  • Provides guidance, support and recommendations to Lines of Business and assists in the implementation of Risk/Audit/Compliance initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Intermediate understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
  • Intermediate understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
  • Ability to build and manage a team of Business Risk professionals who have credibility and work directly with business line management, as appropriate
  • Knowledge of Business Risk competencies
  • Strong process facilitation and project management skills
  • Effective presentation and relationship building skills
  • Possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs
  • Proficient computer navigation skills, particularly word processing, spreadsheet, databases, and presentations
  • Strong PC skills, particularly spreadsheet, databases, reporting, PowerBI, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent command of the English Language, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday between 2 PM to 10 PM and 3 PM to 11 PM
  • The role offers a hybrid schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
