Job Description

Brings to the data governance team Data as a Product in service to Data Governance as a Service mindset. Partners both internally within the Business Insights & Performance team, and likewise across Operations within a Shared Services Organization supporting Lines of Business, Risk/Compliance professionals, technology, and business line leaders to support and maintain data governance practices and processes within Operations as it relates to data, analytics and reporting. Through knowledgeable application of Business Intelligence (BI) Visualization tools, and data implementation approaches which support requirements gathering and understanding Metrics to Data Product support across Data Engineering Teams, Reporting & Analytics Teams, Compliance Teams, Risk Partners, and our Enterprise Data Governance Teams! This role will support Claims & Disputes initially and be instrumental to the growth and development of the Metrics Catalogue.

Provides subject matter expertise around data governance principles and disciplines for the business line and in support of the enterprise data governance program. Ensures data delivery is meeting established goals of the program and Enterprise Data Governance policy requirements. Provides support around critical information and how it is used for business processing within the organization. Ensures that strong controls are in place to deliver data that is fit for purpose within the business line or for assigned system of record, provisioning point or business process(s).

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days at one of the following locations:

  • Gresham, OR

  • Tempe, AZ

  • Irving, TX

  • Cincinnati, OH

  • Saint Paul, MN

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Four to five years of experience in data governance activities

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Advanced project management/business analysis knowledge and familiarity with the business line processes and/or applications

- Thorough knowledge across application of Business Intelligence tools (e.g.: Power BI or other BI Tools)

- Proficient in SQL Queries to extract data

- Experience in tracing Metrics from reporting to source system
- Advanced understanding of Data Governance principles
- Thorough knowledge of data architecture concepts and data governance tooling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00 - $136,400.00
