Job Description
Responsible for working closely with Marketing, Analytics and Customer Experience (MACX) leadership to set, track and manage their budgets. Key activities include: creating and maintaining accurate record-keeping and reports for budgets (forecasts, actuals, expenses) across large leadership team, multiple cost centers and spend categories (marketing, professional services, software, etc.); monitoring spending and tracking budget variances; leading monthly budget review meetings with MACX leaders/budget stakeholders; preparing monthly forecasts and as-needed budget reports for Corporate Finance; processing invoices in accordance with Bank policy.
Primary Responsibilities
Completes timely processing of invoices and purchase orders; month-end, quarter-end and year-end accrual preparation and closing processes
Prepares and analyzes budget management reports (spend-to-date, left-to-spend, spend by vendor, spend by category, etc.) to ensure that each group is operating within its allocated budget
Manages monthly budget review meetings for MACX leaders/budget owners (forecasts, variances, spend patterns, etc.) to keep management informed on their budget status
Works with stakeholders to update their monthly budget forecasts; coordinates across MACX teams to refine forecasts based on financial guidance from Corporate Finance
Consolidates monthly MACX financial forecasts for Corporate Finance and assembles other monthly, quarterly or annual budget reports as requested
Serves as day-to-day point of contact for MACX budget owners, Accounts Payables and Corporate Finance, keeping teams on-track, on-time and on-budget
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically five or more years of related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of computers, including Word and Excel. Desirable if knowledgeable in Power BI (tables, graphs, dashboards) and/or Workday (financial software).
Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey technical and financial information in a clear and understandable manner to a broad audience.
Ability to influence MACX leaders/budget managers to complete budget deliverables on time and adhere to Corporate Finance requirements/guidance.
Good organizational, human relations, and technical skills.
4-5 years professional experience as a budget analyst or manager, or closely related position that involved responsibility for budget development, analysis or management.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00 - $136,400.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
