U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer (Multiple openings) in Charlotte, NC.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing and developing business components using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring IOC, Spring Batch and Microservices Architecture. Uses reactive programming paradigm promoting an asynchronous, non-blocking, event-driven approach to data processing. Specific duties include:

  • Integrating applications with RESTful APIs/Web Services to fetch data from the back-end server, and parsing the XML and JSON response.
  • Designing and developing Restful APIs for different project modules per requirements.
  • Designing patterns of Delegates, Data Transfer Objects and Data Access Objects.
  • Using multithreading and collections to improve application performance.
  • Developing Microservices supporting REST and deploying into Kubernetes.
  • Working with Spring Batch for automation testing and validating the results against the API.
  • Migrating microservices from On-prem and AWS infrastructure.
  • Implementing AWS solutions using EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, Elastic Load Balancer, Auto scaling groups, optimized volumes and EC2 instances.
  • Building AWS infrastructure by writing cloud formation templates in json.
  • Implementing screens for the front end using React.js, and using predefined components from NPM (Node Package Manager) and redux library.
  • Configuring, integrating, and maintaining all development, QA, staging and production PostgreSQL databases within the organization.
  • Developing unit and integration tests for existing microservices using JUnit and Mockito.
  • Utilize the following tools and technologies: Java, Web Services including JAX RPC, JAXB, JAX-WS, SOAP, WSDL, JAX-RS, and Restful, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring IOC, Spring Batch, Microservices Architecture, Restful Webservices, Junit, Mockito.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience designing and developing Java applications.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: 1) End-to-end software development cycle using Java technologies and full stack engineering. 2) Application integration using Web Services including JAX RPC, JAXB, JAX-WS, SOAP, WSDL, JAX-RS, and Restful. 3) Utilizing Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring IOC, Spring Batch and Microservices Architecture to develop Restful Webservices. 4) Developing unit and integration tests for microservices using Junit and Mockito. 5) Designing and developing Restful APIs, and integrating applications with RESTful APIs/Web Services to fetch data from the back-end server. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $155,688 - $164,100 (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
