Job Description

The Strategy Manager role will work closely with senior leadership to identify and analyze business opportunities, develop strategic plans, and ensure the successful execution of these plans. This role requires strong analytical skills, ability to synthesize complex information and a deep understanding of payments industry - market trends, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's vision and goals.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and integration of strategic initiatives.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives.

  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic projects and recommend adjustments as needed.

  • Analyze financial and operational data to assess the impact of strategic decisions.

Project Management:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic projects.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Present strategic plans and progress reports to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and investors.

  • Gather feedback and insights to refine and improve strategic initiatives.

Innovation and Improvement:

  • Identify and promote innovative ideas and solutions to drive business growth.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve strategic processes and methodologies.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 10 years experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects.


Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Proven experience in strategic planning, business development, or management consulting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in MS office, data analysis and visualization tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a strategic role within a corporate environment.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00 - $164,120.00
