Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled FINOP (Financial and Operations Principal) to join our team to lead the Finance division of both a wealth management/retail broker dealer and a capital markets/institutional broker dealer. The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in both introducing and self-clearing firms, a robust background in regulatory requirements, and a proven track record in financial management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Oversee financial operations and ensure reporting compliance with SEC regulations, particularly Rule 15c3-1 (Net Capital Rule) and Rule 15c3-3 (Customer Protection Rule)
• Manage daily Profit and Loss (PnL) reporting to the trading desk, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial reports
• Coordinate with Treasury and Funding Departments to manage liquidity and capital requirements effectively
• Maintain and implement strong internal controls and adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Maintain and utilize broker dealer back office and settlement systems for financial management and reporting
• Ensure the firm's compliance with all applicable audits and reviews including the annual external accounting firm audit, regulatory reviews, and varying internal compliance programs
• Develop and challenge financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance
• Advise and participate in new product and platform initiatives
• Lead a team of 10+ individuals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities to ensure optimal performance and professional growth
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- 15 or more years of relevant financial management experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Series 27 license is required. Series 24 license a plus.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience with increasing responsibility in various broker dealer finance roles
• In-depth knowledge of securities products, financial regulations, and compliance requirements
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with Phase 3 and NFS WealthScape systems is highly desirable
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Passion for working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and heavily regulated environment
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $164,390.00 - $193,400.00 - $212,740.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
