Job Description
This position is within the Investment Portfolio group in the Corporate Treasury division at U.S. Bank. The group is responsible for portfolio reporting for USB’s $160 billion Investment Portfolio. The position requires strong fixed income knowledge, with the ability to develop and lead projects to meet the reporting and analytical requirements related to the overall Investment Portfolio, including Bank-Owned Life Insurance (BOLI) program. Incumbent typically has 5 or more years of experience with the ability to utilize 3rd-party vendor solution models applied in portfolio analytics towards development of reporting analyses in support of the portfolio’s strategy execution. Additionally, the position will assume coverage in various operational and reporting functions related to USB’s BOLI program.
Responsibilities
Initiates and conducts reporting analysis of various individual fixed income securities or classes of fixed-income securities using sources such as industry reports, trade journals, technical periodicals, and brokers’ and management reports.
Implements new reporting initiatives and supports existing reporting functions using 3rd-party vendor solution models applied in portfolio analytics.
Assists in operations support for Investment Portfolio, BOLI, and Equity Investments programs by analyzing, documenting, and communicating actual and projection amounts.
Assists in analyzing the composition of investment portfolios and assists in deriving portfolio reporting dashboards to fulfill investment objectives.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or in economics, or equivalent fixed income operational support experience
- Typically three or more years of related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Strong knowledge and experience with different asset classes of fixed income securities such as agency mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, and commercial mortgage-backed securities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
-Effective time management skills with ability to implement, lead and follow through to completion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS SQL is required along with ability to transform large data sets into structured reports.
- Experience with reporting utilizing 3rd-party vendor solution models applied in portfolio analytics such as Yield Book and/or BlackRock Aladdin.
· Strong analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills, with particular attention to detail
- Experience with Intex, Trepp, Bloomberg, Yield Book, and/or BlackRock Aladdin
- Programming background utilizing SAS and familiarity with MS VBA
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- CFA preferred

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $101,600.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
