U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer- Cloud Migration in Chicago, Illinois.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Migration will be responsible for the development, planning and implementation of transition plans of on-premises workloads to cloud. Develop deployment framework and different implementation patterns related to Azure for teams and help accelerate migration processes. Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of information technology projects. Lead creation and development of Ansible role patterns. Develop and validate implementation plans for various AWS and Azure services, including AKS, VM, SQL and SQLMI. Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems. Coach engineering organization on debugging mindset with a view of using appropriate tools for specific needs. Drive organizational testing strategy and use quality metrics to identify gaps and resolve issues in line with business objectives. Recommend solutions to cross-functional teams in accordance with accepted testing frameworks. Lead incident response across engineering organization as needed. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as an infrastructure engineer, software engineer, IT analyst or related.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess five (5) years of experience with each of the following: (a) Migration and development of messaging module for asynchronous data processing through JMS; (b) Implementation of build system using Jenkins as a part of Continuous Integration Development; (c) Developing and deploying software through Agile, TDD, and Waterfall SDLC methodologies; (d) Establish Version control through GIT and SVN; (e) Development and Deployment using Java and JavaScript; (f) Spring Framework, Maven, Apache, and Struts; (g) querying relational databases with MySQL. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.
Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $124,072 - $182,900 (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
