Job Description
This leader will manage a high‑impact, enterprise AI P/SDLC Enablement team focused on delivering proof‑of‑concepts (PoCs) across the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC). The role is accountable for accelerating AI adoption, improving developer productivity, and ensuring U.S. Bank remains competitive in a rapidly evolving software delivery landscape.
In addition to leading a core team of onshore software engineers, this role will partner closely with offshore FTC teams to scale and execute AI‑driven PoCs. The leader will serve as a key driver of PDLC innovation through internal experimentation, vendor partnerships, and emerging AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow an enterprise AI innovation team focused on PDLC proof‑of‑concepts and rapid experimentation
- Identify, prototype, and validate innovative approaches to improve developer productivity and software delivery outcomes
- Partner with offshore FTC teams to extend capacity and accelerate PoC delivery
- Drive adoption and scaling of AI‑enabled development tools and agentic workflows
- Establish partnerships with strategic vendors and emerging AI platforms
- Sponsor and lead internal hackathons and innovation programs to surface new ideas
- Provide architectural leadership and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards
- Communicate outcomes, insights, and recommendations to senior technology and business leaders
Must‑Have Qualifications
- 15+ years of proven software development experience with strong depth across modern development practices
- Demonstrated experience introducing and scaling AI‑enabled development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Cognition, etc.)
- Proven ability to operationalize AI tools at enterprise scale, beyond pilots and experimentation
- Strong architecture and systems design expertise (E.g. Cloud Certifications, Innovation, etc)
- Experience delivering agentic architectures and protocols (e.g., Model Context Protocols or similar patterns)
- Ability to influence senior leaders and partners
- Strong collaboration skills across onshore, offshore, and vendor teams
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight or more years of relevant software engineering experience
- Five or more years of experience leading a software engineering team
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $143,905.00 - $169,300.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
