At U.S. Bank, we power global commerce. Within Global Trade & Standby Services (GTSS), our team supports complex international trade and payment transactions that keep businesses moving across borders.
We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our Payments-focused GTSS team. In this role, you’ll take on increased ownership of transaction processing, partner across teams, and help ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of global trade and payment activities.
This is an opportunity to deepen your expertise in trade finance, foreign exchange (FX), and international payments while contributing to a high-performing operations environment.
What You’ll Do
As an Operations Associate, you will operate with greater independence and ownership across day-to-day processing:

Process and support Global Trade & Standby Services (GTSS) products, including:
Import/Export Letters of Credit
Documentary Collections
Banker’s Acceptances
Standby Letters of Credit

Execute and support Foreign Exchange (FX) and international payment activities, including:
Cross-border payments and remittances
Settlements and investigations
Review, validate, and reconcile transactions and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
Identify discrepancies or issues and take action to resolve or escalate appropriately
Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to facilitate trade transactions, payments, and disbursements
Ensure adherence to banking regulations, internal policies, and service level expectations
Maintain documentation and system records in a high-volume, paperless processing environment

Location & Schedule
Hybrid (3+ days onsite)
Monday–Friday schedule
Location: St. Paul, MN (West Side Flats) or Los Angeles, CA
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Three or more years of relevant work experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience with international payments, trade finance, or FX operations
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Effective communication skills and ability to partner across teams
Familiarity with SWIFT or trade/payment systems is a plus

Location Expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $27.50 - $36.68U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
