Job Description

We are seeking a strategic, technically fluent, and execution-driven Vice President of Product to lead the modernization of our Commercial Payments and Commercial Card platforms, with a specific focus on defining, rationalizing, and transforming data management across the ecosystem.

This is a highly visible, multi-year transformation role that sits at the intersection of product, data, and technology. You will be responsible for driving platform modernization while establishing a unified, scalable data strategy—ensuring consistency, interoperability, and high-quality data across all systems, channels, and client experiences. The ability to communicate and coordinate across the organization will be essential for success.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

Data Strategy

  • Define and execute strategy for data management across a large number of bank systems (APIs, batch, event-driven)

  • Inventory and assess existing data assets and pipelines; eliminate redundancy

  • Cross-Functional Execution

  • Develop and manage detailed modernization and migration plans

  • Collaborate with product owners to deliver differentiated capabilities

  • Ensure alignment across business, technology, and operations

  • Platform Modernization

  • Provide expertise to help define, document, and gain alignment on the end-to-end modernization strategy, roadmap, and timeline

  • Participate in the execution of a multi-year transformation program spanning platform migration and capability enhancement

  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to deliver initiatives on time and within budget

Third-Party Management

  • Engage third-party processors and vendors to ensure alignment and delivery

  • Lead consulting engagements including RFPs and execution

Governance & Data Quality

  • Define data standards, lineage, and ownership

  • Establish KPIs for data quality, latency, and reliability

  • Financial & Risk Management

  • Monitor budgets and identify risks and opportunities

  • Manage regulatory and operational risks

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years in technical product management

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Commercial Payments and Card domain expertise

  • Experience with core processing platforms

  • Proven success leading large-scale modernization programs

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside of the location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
