UC Health is hiring a Full Time Employee Assistance Program Consultant
EA consultant will work with associates to provide assessment, referral and brief counseling on mental health, work-related and chemical dependency issues. Consultant will provide workplace consultation, mediation and coaching to Managers and individuals. Consultant will provide psychological first-aid to individuals and departments experiencing trauma.

Responsibilities
- Engages in population appropriate communication. Has knowledge of growth and development milestones and tasks.
- Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment.
- Involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient.
- Identifies any physical limitations of the patient and deploys intervention when necessary.
- Recognizes and responds appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems. Interprets population related data and plans care appropriately.
- Identifies and responds appropriately to different needs resulting from, unique psychological needs or those associated with religious / cultural norms.
- Performs treatments, administers medication or operates equipment safely.
- Recognizes and responds to signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect.
- Assessment, referral counseling and follow-up for associates seeking EA services.
- Counsel clients on work-related mental health, family, relationships, alcohol and drug issues.
- Case manage behavioral health clients.
- Consult with Human Resources and Managers on organization and department issues.
- Provide consultation regarding potential violence, design and implement interventions including coaching, mediation and group trauma interventions.
- Documentation and record keeping including: case notes, reports and presentation plans in accordance with policy.
- Provide critical incident stress briefings to individuals and departments experiencing trauma.
- Provide EA information to all new associate orientations, Resident and Fellow orientations and department meetings as requested.
- Develop and maintain network of referral services.
- Other Duties as requested by Director
Qualifications
- Minimum Required: M.A in Social Work or Counseling
- LSW or PCC is required.
- LISW or LPCC is preferred.
- Licensure must be kept current by completing the required continuing education units mandated by the state licensing board. Consultants must follow their Professions ethics code.
- Minimum Required: Recently certified, licensed or graduates within past 12 months and completion of internship in EAP
- Preferred: 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience
