This is a temporary, full-time position with a pay rate of $40-$45 per hour, and a work schedule of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, 3 days in the office.
The client is located in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ and is a $150M company in the manufacturing industry.
We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join a leading chemical manufacturer and supplier located in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ on a temporary basis with the possibility of a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate month-end close relating to inventory and cost of goods sold for a manufacturing plant, preparing various inventory and cost variance analysis reports monthly, maintaining fixed asset records, liaising with external auditors regarding costing and valuing inventory, and other record requests.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
More than five years of general accounting and costing experience, preferred in manufacturing or corporate environment
Experience with manufacturing, cost, inventory, Excel (Vlookups and Pivot), and ERP
Familiarity with accounting software and programs, specifically Sage 300
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Ability to meet deadlines with results
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate month-end close relating to inventory and cost of goods sold for a manufacturing plant
Prepare various inventory and cost variance analysis reports monthly
Maintain fixed asset records and prepare monthly depreciation schedules and reconciliation entries
Liaise with external auditors regarding costing and valuing inventory, fixed asset verification, and other record requests
Help manager and staff for general accounting and reporting needs during month-end closings and circumstances
Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
