Senior Accountant POST NUMBER: 374467
Overview:
A healthcare client is looking for Senior Accountant. This position mostly posts and reviews accounting transactions for the client’s agencies while supporting all other corporate finance functions. This role is also mostly hybrid. Discipline, time management skills, and accuracy are vital for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for general ledger activity & reconciliations for assigned accounts
- Advanced financial analysis & review of assigned financial statements
- Recommend areas to improve accounting processes as needed to Controller
- Assist or lead teams in preparing for the annual external audit
- Assist various teams with the annual budgeting process
- Preparation of month-end close documentation & training other accountants on this process
- Assist in preparing any presentations for banking reviews, board meetings, etc.
- Advanced reconciliation skills (cash, liability, expense analysis, fixed assets, leases, revenue, debt, etc.)
- Integrate transactions into ongoing accounting operations of the entities
- Assist in recording purchase accounting for transactions
- Special projects as assigned by the Controller.
- Assist in supervising staff accountants & assist with any questions regarding transactional issues
- Strong ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
- 2 to 4 tears in public accounting or corporate accounting role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Preferred Master’s and CPA
- Preferred Sage Intacct software experience
- Preferred healthcare experience
