A South Bay construction company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger and job costing. What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 3 years of accounting experience
- MUST have experience in real estate, construction, or similar field
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced Excel
- Liaise between accounting team and outside department to make sure budgeting and payment expectations are established and managed accurately
- Create summaries and reports on projects so that senior leadership and sales teams understand status and progress
- Act as POC for vendor teams with invoices and payment statuses
- Assist AP with making sure there is accuracy and timeliness in invoice entry
- Analyze and explain financial transactions
- Provide support for budget preparation
