Accounts Payable Coordinator POST NUMBER: 410709
Vaco is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator to join a finance department. The Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and review payment batches for approval, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure proper documentation and filing.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable processes.
- Prepare and analyze reports related to accounts payable as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
- Experience with electronic payment systems and online banking platforms is a plus.
