Key Responsibilities:
Software Architecture and Design:
Design and implement microservice-based architectures to handle external service calls in a scalable, fault-tolerant, and retriable manner.
Develop business-configurable event processing pipelines ensuring strong execution guarantees around reliability and accuracy.
System Analysis and Development:
Analyze legacy production systems and produce strategic plans for modernization and improvement.
Prototype, develop, and deploy critical system components, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of best practices in coding, testing, and development processes.
Introduce and enforce processes such as git, code reviews, pull requests, and release management.
Domain-Driven Design:
Apply domain-driven design principles to create well-defined and maintainable systems that align with business goals.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure the software architecture meets current and future business needs.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferably with a concentration in network software development).
Experience: 8 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on architecture, API design, and distributed systems.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, C#, TypeScript, and SQL.
Experience with development tools such as VS Code, Docker, git, and Azure.
Strong understanding of system analysis, architecture, microservice design, and domain-driven design.
Preferred Attributes:
Demonstrated ability to produce business cases and requirements for engineering initiatives.
Strong communication skills with the ability to socialize and implement architectural designs across teams.
Proven track record of successful project delivery and team leadership.
