This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a strategic sales plan that increases revenue from both existing and new accounts. Also responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of the sale, all the while improving ASG’s market position by locating, developing and defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.

Position Responsibilities

· Ability to solution sell clients based on identifying what their core business challenges are or may be in the future

· Be a master collaborator working as part of a team to build a solution to convince clients ASG is the best partner to solve their business challenges

· Be an expert at delivering capable presentation over the phone or in person

· Bring new ideas to the sales and marketing plan for the agency

· Collaborate with vertical business leaders and new business development teams to create the right solution-based proposal to sell to new prospective clients

· Continuously hunt, generate, and identify qualified sales leads in focused agency target categories primarily through relationship mining, as well as internal and external networking within the advertising and or marketing industry

· Develop a deep understanding of ASG’s sales prospect’s business needs, competitors, and current roster proactively share ideas, case studies and considerations during the initial qualifying discussions with prospective clients

· Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities, forecast revenue and profitability

· Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve annual sales targets

· Grow client RFPs from one channel to many – increase the size of the prize, seek up-sell opportunities

· Maintain and refine CRM database of prospect

· Manage, nurture and close inbound agency leads drive the sales process, leading the client relationship from initial call to close and collaborate with internal resources to develop solutions

· Participate, as required in follow up with client contract and billing

· Prospect and call on new clients that fit within ASG’s growth plan continuously maintain a high level of communication with prospective clients

· Stay at the forefront of advertising, technology and innovation occurring in the industry

· Weekly maintenance and update of account contacts and (proposal) activity for communication to upper management via established reporting methods

Education & Essential Skills

· Ability to consistently perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to drive interest and meetings with prospective clients over the phone

· Attend both internal and external business development meetings and or events, which may include but is not limited to industry conferences and meetings and company hosted business development events

· Bachelor’s degree in business or MBA plus a minimum of seven years sales experience in a related industry

· Be a creative thinker

· Be a resourceful, tenacious problem solver

· Charismatic and possesses excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills

· Consistently performs at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment

· Demonstrate strong and effective customer service and relationship building skills

· High energy and winning attitude

· Possession of a valid driver’s license and registered automobile / insurance.

· Willingness to travel


· CRM experience

· Insurance industry

· Software industry

· Proven track record of meeting goals and exceeding expectations with innovative mindset.
