Vaco is looking to hire a Cash Services Analyst for a banking establishment here in Memphis. The Cash Services Analyst is a member of the Bank Operations teams and focuses on ACH, currency and coin orders, and general cash services.

Responsibilities:
  • Process currency and coin orders for customers nationwide.
  • Reconcile all aspects of the cash vault services including customer and general ledger entries.
  • Responds to inquires related to cash vault activities from various internal and external sources (armored car, Federal Reserve, etc.), while applying sound decision-making techniques and exhibiting necessary follow-through.
  • Assists in the completion of customer setup and includes maintenance and deletion requests on various software platforms.
  • Ensure daily workflow is completed in accordance with department processes and procedures.
  • Assist in completion of other payment processing activities such as ACH, Remote Deposit and Bill Pay services as required.
  • Assesses, manages and escalates all the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure activities are in alignment with the bank's and unit's risk appetite and risk management framework.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to build and use effective working relationships within own department and across department, functional, and geographic reporting lines.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize processes, tools, and techniques for detecting, addressing and preventing fraudulent situations.
  • Additional required activities as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college preferred.
  • 2 or more years of related ACH experience.
  • 5 plus years of financial institution experience preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking, including understanding of bank products, services, and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related software applications.
  • Good verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Good aptitude for figures and Attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to change.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, professional environment.
