Job Description: Vaco Richmond is recruiting for a strategic Payroll Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing a small team and managing our clients payroll operations. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

General Overview: The Payroll Supervisor will oversee the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The successful candidate will identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of payroll administration.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
• Review and reconcile payroll reports, resolving any discrepancies.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to update and maintain employee payroll records and tax information.
• Develop and maintain procedures to ensure accurate calculations of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal payroll laws and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and other required documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll management.
• Proficiency in payroll software and systems, with strong Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide outstanding customer service to employees.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and on time.
• Comprehensive understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
