Vaco is seeking an AP Specialist for a client located in Irvine, CA. If interested, apply today!

As the AP Specialist, you will be responsible for processing bills timely, getting spend on purchase orders, and managing the P2P system. This is a critical role in a high-growth company that is constantly growing and changing.

Job responsibilities:
  • Responsible for receiving, processing, and paying vendor invoices.
  • Ability to assist employees with payables issues, purchase order creation, general AP questions.
  • Point of contact for vendor inquiries to keep the Company in good standing.
  • Assist with creating workflows and enhancing AP systems.
  • Follow T&E expenses and move non-T&E expenses onto purchase orders.
  • Send vendor invitation to P2P system and verify banking information.
  • Ensure that bills and transactions have appropriate coding.
  • Block AP entries during month-end close (e.g., accruals, syncing T&E transactions, etc.).
  • Provide ad hoc reports to various departments as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3 years experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Experience with 3-way matching.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and multi-task between various initiatives.
  • Experience with large scale P2P systems and ERP systems.
  • Intermediate (or higher) Excel skills and experience with data analysis (functions/formulas, pivot tables).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
