Senior Director of Corporate FP&A

Our Client (a technology solutions provider) is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Corporate FP&A to join their dynamic team. As a key leader, you’ll contribute to driving growth and success within the company. Our client values hands-on yet strategic professionals who can build strong relationships and enhance business performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across the organization.
  • Ensure high-quality consolidation of corporate financials by collaborating with FP&A teams and engaging strategically with business units.
  • Enhance forecasting accuracy for profit and loss (P&L) and cash flow, working closely with other FP&A teams and accounting.
  • Identify business trends, risks, and opportunities within revenue and expense plans.
  • Manage the operating cadence for the Finance team.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports for the Executive Team.
  • Oversee monthly close processes, including accrual reviews and variance analysis.
  • Drive the preparation of financial Board of Directors presentations.
  • Develop operational and financial models to monitor business performance.
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing Corporate FP&A team.
  • Foster strong relationships within finance and across the business.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with strategic goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of FP&A and the CFO.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Nice-to-have experience in banking, equity research, or consulting (BCG, Bain, LEK).
  • 15 years of senior finance leadership roles, collaborating with executives.
  • Deep expertise in corporate FP&A, particularly within SaaS organizations with $200M-$500M ARR.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling using tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Operational experience with Adaptive Insights.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (nice-to-have).
  • Track record of team management and inspiring high-performing teams (very nice-to-have).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills, with the ability to collaborate and guide personnel at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and simplification of complexity.
  • Independence in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, and effective multitasking.
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Compensation:

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $100 - $125 per hour.
