AP/AR Accountant
Onsite Position – 5 days a week

Job Summary:

Responsible for timely and accurately taking care of the essential functions listed below, in accordance with the established systems, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Analyzing, properly classifying, and booking accruals at month-end to ensure all late invoices or un-invoiced services rendered or un-invoiced goods delivered are accounted for on the P&L.
• Processing check runs, including making decisions on what vendor/invoices should be paid based on due dates and/or exposure to late fees coordinating with the other AP staff and.
• Serve as back up for all other AP tasks, which requires the same level of judgement and skills of the other AP staff (ie, processing payments by wire transfer).
• Investigate and resolve inquiries/disputes from vendors, which requires ample knowledge of the vendor’s account’s issues and the ability to negotiate resolution on behalf of and favorable to the organization.
• Timely processing mail, organizing & entering/parking invoices into SAP.
• Process daily offsets (credits applied to open invoices) to respective accounts. Authority to write off minor discrepant balance of $25 or less.
• Investigate and resolve all daily short-pays (ie, sales tax, freight, or unidentified deductions) or overpayments, and contact customers for resolution, including obtaining Tax Exempt Certificates.
• Assist, review and reconcile cash posting in unison with our SZ Finance team.
• Assist Credit Analysts with reconciliation of accounts as needed.

• Associate college degree, preferred.
• 5 years of Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience.
• Systems Proficiency – Good SAP skills.
• PC Proficiency – Good MS-Excel, MS-Office, MS-Teams skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
• Very reliable, dependable, self-motivated, self starter, driven to get things done, with strong attention to detail.
