Tax Manager
We are partnering with a company in search of a Tax Manager. This individual is responsible for overseeing the tax compliance and reporting processes for the organization. This role involves managing a team of tax professionals, ensuring adherence to all tax laws and regulations, and providing strategic tax planning.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance the organization’s tax position. Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
  • Manage the tax audit process, coordinating with external auditors and tax authorities. Prepare documentation and respond to inquiries as needed.
  • Conduct research on tax issues and prepare technical memoranda to support tax positions. Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the tax function. Implement best practices and streamline workflows.
  • Review and analyze financial statements to identify tax implications and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities during tax audits and inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address their tax concerns and provide proactive tax advice.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive tax reports and findings to clients and senior management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably within a corporate environment or public accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
