Compensation: $90k-$105k bonus DOE
One of Vaco’s clients is looking for a Senior Internal IT Auditor to join our team and focus on evaluating IT General Controls (ITGC), infrastructure, and system security. This role is perfect for someone with deep expertise in IT auditing, risk management, and compliance, looking to drive improvements in the organization's IT control environment and security posture.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute audits to evaluate IT General Controls (ITGC), system processes, and security protocols.
- Assess IT risks related to data security, infrastructure, and IT operations, providing actionable recommendations for risk mitigation and compliance.
- Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure ITGCs are designed effectively and functioning as intended.
- Perform testing of ITGCs, application controls, and system access management to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed audit reports for senior management, highlighting audit findings, control gaps, and recommendations for improvement.
- Support the development and execution of IT audit plans, focusing on emerging risks, cybersecurity, and system controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or similar certifications preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in IT auditing, with a focus on ITGCs, cybersecurity, and system risk assessments.
- Strong understanding of ITGC frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT) and compliance standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
- Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and data protection strategies.
- Familiarity with audit tools and data analytics.
